They will present the practical advances of his pilot project, which won the first contest promoted in Spain for the implementation of 5G

At the 5G Forum 2020 in Malaga, Vodafone will present the advances and experiences of the “Piloto 5G en Andalucía”, a project promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Business, and which is co-financed by Red.es with EU FEDER funds.

On 28th November, Vodafone presented the main lines of its 5G pilot project in Seville, thanks to Red.es. Now, six months later, it will present in Malaga the 32 practical cases of use in which it is applying the benefits of this technology in the sectors of energy, industry, intelligent cities, tourism, agriculture, health and dependence, security, emergencies and defence, society and digital economy.

The 5G Forum 2020 will take place on May 6th and 7th at the National Digital Content Pole in Malaga and will bring together leading experts and Spanish companies.

The 5G Forum in Malaga is one of the most important meetings held in Spain this year to address the situation of 5G and its implementation.

In this way, the event organized by Medina Media Events, which has already opened the registration, is presented as a unique opportunity in Spain for all companies and projects launched in our country to report their progress and make practical demonstrations.

One of the first to confirm its presence in the 5G Forum has been 5G-IA, the European public-private partnership for 5G infrastructures.

Now, Vodafone Spain joins in to share with the Spanish technology community the efforts of more than 50 companies and public administrations, which are collaborating on its 32 use cases that will be visible at the 5G Forum.

Vodafone will be one of the sponsors of the 5G Forum and will organize a round table in which, with the help of Red.es, it will share with the attendees the experiences of some of the companies participating in its pilot project.

In the Demo Area of the Digital Content Pole in Malaga, Vodafone thanks to its 5G networks will also show the 5G Forum attendees case studies in various fields in which it has already proven the effectiveness of this technology, which is already available in 17 cities in Spain. For example: augmented reality in tourist visits to the Cathedral of Malaga, connectivity in conference centres, management of medication for the elderly, virtual reality in museums and immersion in e-sports with virtual reality, among others.
