The suspension “due to force majeure” of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona has made the 5G Forum, which will take place on May 6th and 7th in Malaga, the most important meeting this year in Spain to address the situation of 5G and its implementation, following the guidelines and dates set by the European Union.
The third edition of the 5G Forum will bring together the main Spanish experts and companies to review all the news and share opinions and networking in a less stressful and crowded environment than that generated by the big events such as the MWC in Barcelona or the CES in Las Vegas.
In this way, the event organized by Medina Media Events, which today opened the registration, is presented as a unique opportunity in Spain for all companies and projects launched in our country to inform about their progress and make practical demonstrations in the National Digital Content Pole of Málaga.
One of the first to confirm its presence at the 5GForum was the 5G-IA, the European public-private infrastructure partnership 5G.
Dr. Carles Antón-Haro, who will be your speaker at the 5G Forum, is a member of the board of directors of the 5G Infrastructure Association (5G IA), the private part of the 5G Public-Private Partnership for Infrastructure (5G PPP).
The 5G PPP is a joint initiative of the European Commission – which represents the public side – and the European ICT industry (equipment manufacturers, telecom operators, service providers, SMEs, research centres, universities and other vertical sector companies) – which represents the private side, and which is grouped under the name 5G IA (5G Infrastructure Association).
The 5G IA is committed to the advancement of 5G technology in Europe and to the creation of a global consensus. To this end, it carries out a wide range of activities in strategic areas including standardisation, frequency spectrum, R&D projects, technological expertise, collaboration with key vertical industrial sectors, especially for the development of tests, and international cooperation.
