The Nissan Cartuja Auditorium in Seville will host the seventh edition of the 5G Forum, “Where 5G leaders meet“, from May 6 to 10 in a hybrid format, with two face-to-face sessions – Monday May 6 and Tuesday May 7 – and three virtual sessions – May 8, 9 and 10 – bringing together the main operators (MasOrange, Telefónica and Vodafone) and multinational leaders in 5G and 6G technology.

This new edition of the 5G Forum, a benchmark event in the telecommunications sector, will be attended by Ignacio Gonzalez, Head of Telco Mobile Network Business Development EMEA at Red Hat, who will analyze the power of Cloud platforms for Telcos.

The advantages of the Cloud for the Telecommunications Industry

In this context, Ignacio González will present the various ways in which “the ‘cloud’ world is converging with the telecommunications industry”, driven by the growing demand for connectivity, storage and digital services.

From Kubernetes to AI, and from the data center to the edge, “a Telco Cloud platform is a critical asset for any telecom industry to take full advantage of 5G services,” says Gonzalez.

Cloud platforms offer a number of advantages and capabilities that are especially relevant and powerful for the telecommunications industry, from the elasticity and scalability they allow companies to, for example, advanced tools and services for data analytics and Artificial Intelligence, among many others.
