5GFORUM WILL BREAK RECORDS IN ITS SECOND EDITION

One week before its inauguration, the second edition of the 5GForum in Malaga, the most relevant event in Spain dedicated specifically to 5G, has already broken records for registrations, attending companies and sponsors, which two months after the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona will meet for two days in the Digital Content Hub in the capital of the Costa del Sol.

Specifically, the number of sponsors has increased by 150%, according to Ricardo Medina, CEO of Medina Media Events, the organizer of the event, which has already attracted speakers, companies and multinationals from nearly 20 countries.

Among the multinationals that join this year as sponsors of the 5GForum are Orange (France), Huawei (China), Cisco (United States), Rohde & Schwarz(Germany), Intracom Telecom (Greece), Dekra (Germany) and Keysight Technologies (United States). In addition, Samsung (Korea) and Nokia (Finland) are repeated as sponsors.

On the Spanish side, Cellnex, Hispasat, Axión and RTVE continue as sponsors, and Lyntia and Reintel are added. In addition, the pan-European project 5Genesis, which brings together 29 entities from Greece, France, Italy, Cyprus, Great Britain, Germany, Portugal, Ireland, Isarel, Norway and Spain, also sponsors the event.

Among the attendees, there are already registered delegates of companies from several Spanish communities, such as Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia, Catalonia, Galicia and Euskadi, which in addition to the keynotes will enjoy the first level networking offered by the 5GForum.

Specifically, in this second edition, more than 20 Andalusian companies will be present in the two days of the event thanks to a collaboration agreement with Extenda, the Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion.

In addition, the second day of the evening will also be attended by several dozen researchers and professors from the University of Malaga (UMA), in a half-day open to engineers, technicians, professors and university specialists.
