ORANGE PRESENTS ITS VISION OF 5G, IN THE 5GFORUM

20/04/2019

The French multinational Orange will present next week at the 5GForum in Malaga all its commitment to the 5G in Spain, where it is already working with special emphasis on the use cases it is currently developing in Malaga and Seville.

Tomás Alonsothe Head of Product Engineering at Orange, will open the second day of the 5GForum, which will be held on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 in the Digital Content Hub of the capital of the Costa del Sol.

Alonso
will explain the state of maturity of 5G technology, also reviewing the state of international launches. “We will share Orange’s current plans, showing some of the most important milestones achieved so far (first voice and data call) with the SA “real 5G” standard in Spain”, says Tomás Alonso.

In Alonso’s opinion, “the 5G will completely transform the sector, and therefore affect all the agents in it. We will review these keys and go into detail on how Orange is tackling these challenges”. The keynote of the top 5G official in Orange will be one of the 30 that make up the agenda of the 5GForum, which two months after the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona brings together in Malaga the top national experts on the 5G.

The 5GForum is an opportunity to attend conferences and access speakers in a more relaxed and personal atmosphere than the MWC, where more than 100,000 people attend with frantic agendas that barely allow time to analyze and debate the thousands of messages that companies launch into the global mobile market.

In contrast, the 5GForum in Malaga offers the opportunity to listen to leaders in Spain and multinationals in a more academic and less commercial environment, with a very open agenda to networking in different cocktails, breakfasts, coffee breaks and happy hours.

Tomás Alonso was already a speaker in the first edition of the 5GForum, which was a success and this year has already consolidated as the main event in Spain specific to the 5G, which this year has led Medina Media Events to include speakers and companies from about 20 countries.
