The 5G Forum is warming up for what will be its sixth edition. One more year, the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Seville (FIBES) will be the place where 5G will be the main protagonist, bringing together the international leaders of this technology.

The new edition of the 5G Forum will be held from May 8th to 12th in a hybrid format, with the first two face-to-face days (May 8th and 9th) and three virtual ones (May 10th, 11th and 12th).

During the last edition, participation increased considerably compared to previous years: 837 were professional participants from more than 250 companies. A wide representation of the highest positions of the same: CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, as well as Directors of Innovation, Strategy or Business among others.

With a total of 65 speakers -of which 20% were women-, divided into 37 presentations and 8 panels, the 5G Forum has already established itself as one of the major events in the sector in Spain.

It is worth noting the great relevance at the global level that the 5G Forum has achieved, undoubtedly the result of the good work done in the five previous editions. In the previous edition, sponsors from different multinationals from the United States (American Tower, Viavi Solutions, Qualcomm, Mavenir, Cisco, Keysight Technologies and Tesla), China (Huawei, ZTE), India (On Mobile), Taiwan (Advantech), Japan (JVC and Toshiba), Turkey (Vestel), Germany (Rohde & Schwarz, Dekra), Sweden (Ericsson), France (Orange, Capgemini Engineering, TOTEM and Ateme), United Kingdom (Vodafone and Spirent), Finland (Nokia) or Spain (Telefónica, Cellnex, Hispasat, Televés, Axión, OFG, RTVE, Gamma Solutions and Netmetrix) took part in the event.

Ricardo Medina, CEO of Medina Media Events, the organizing company of this event, has spoken in relation to the success of the last edition: “We have found an outstanding and courageous response to this edition and all the companies that have participated have advanced their interest to be at a higher level in the next edition. The 5G Forum has been, is, and will continue to be, one of the few opportunities to publicize the successes of each company, each multinational, each city and each research project; at a landmark event. It is a first-rate showcase”.

Regarding these conferences, María Medina, General Manager of Medina Media Events, stated that “all conferences, panels, webinars, etc., including those of all our recent and previous technological events, are available to registered attendees on our ‘Netflix ‘ of New Technologies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so that they can access at the time that best suits their busy schedules and from where they can connect with experts and even schedule video meetings.

Public institutions give their support to the 5G Forum

If international sponsors are important, equally vital are the large public institutions that have wanted to cooperate again in the 5G Forum 2023. In addition, universities such as the Polytechnic of Valencia, the Polytechnic of Catalonia or the University of Malaga have had the opportunity to present their different projects both nationally and internationally.

Likewise, another of the pillars of the 5G Forum, such as the virtual sessions, will continue to be available on the Medina Media Events platform for accredited visitors, in addition to offering the possibility for each attendee to have their own agenda of meetings with other companies, with other participants or with one of the speakers.

The 5G Forum has become a unique opportunity to publicize the successes of each initiative, each company, each university, each project and each city, in an international reference event and with a first-rate showcase.
