On this third day of the event, some of the main multinationals related to the world of technology have participated. <b>Orange, Telef\u00f3nica, Vodafone, Capgemini, ZTE, Hispasat, Nokia, Gsertel and Axi\u00f3n<\/b> have been the protagonists.<\/p>\n<p><b>Orange and the Metaverse<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Ang\u00e9lica S\u00e1nchez<\/b>, Business &amp; Marketing Director; <b>Miguel \u00c1ngel Almonacid<\/b>, Network Strategy Director; and <b>Rafael P\u00e9rez Guti\u00e9rrez<\/b>, Products, Services, Devices &amp; Strategic Partnership Director, all from Orange Spain, spoke about the <b>Metaverse<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10300 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.5gforum.es\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/orange-1024x555.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.5gforum.es\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/orange-1024x555.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.5gforum.es\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/orange-300x163.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.5gforum.es\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/orange-768x416.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.5gforum.es\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/orange-1536x832.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/www.5gforum.es\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/orange.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As explained by <b>Ang\u00e9lica S\u00e1nchez<\/b>, <b>&#8220;Immersive now<\/b> is a platform developed by Orange that allows both customers and non-customers to offer them three major experiential areas with which to take steps in this new world&#8221;. It is worth noting that Orange was <b>the first operator to open a commercial store in the Metaverse.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For <b>Rafael P\u00e9rez<\/b>, the Metaverse &#8220;is perpetual and persistent, and consists of the fusion of a physical and a virtual reality, with immersive experiences that make us think and feel that we are inside a virtual world&#8221;. For <b>Miguel \u00c1ngel Almonacid <\/b>&#8220;5G is the basis for communications in the Metaverse and guarantees its evolution&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><b>Telef\u00f3nica, the Standalone and Millimetrics<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Juan Cambeiro<\/b>, Head of 5G Innovation, spoke about the future of 5G: the <b>StandAlone and millimeters<\/b>. He states that &#8220;we have more than 2000 sites with 3500 MHz and more than 2000 municipalities covered with 700 MHz&#8221;. One of the main innovations was <b>AST Space Mobile<\/b>, &#8220;the first and only space-based mobile broadband network, which will be able to provide coverage everywhere&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, <b>Irene Velasco <\/b>analyzed the <b>Open RAN<\/b>, &#8220;a revolution to launch 5G networks&#8221;. Luis Manuel <b>D\u00edaz de Ter\u00e1n<\/b>, for his part, considers that &#8220;AI is very important in terms of scalability and automation&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><b>ZTE, carbon footprint and 5G private networks<\/b><\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the Asian company <b>ZTE, V\u00edctor Pascual<\/b>, CTO in Spain and Portugal, placed special emphasis on the <b>carbon footprint<\/b>. He pointed out that &#8220;in order to reduce it, it is essential to use green materials and energy&#8221;. Those that do so will benefit from &#8220;efficiency in processes&#8221;, although each company will have &#8220;different needs, for example, in terms of security, they will feel more comfortable with isolated networks&#8221;. In short, private networks &#8220;allow you that ubiquity, that is, having the private part and at the same time, when you are going out to the public network, being able to have even the same experience as when you are under your own coverage&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><b>Nokia and Spanish companies that are benchmarks in 5G<\/b><\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, <b>Jaime Ruiz Alonso<\/b>, Innovation Manager at <b>Nokia<\/b>, focused on tools for application developers in <b>5G and B5G networks<\/b> and on Network as Code. Regarding <b>Hispasat, Jos\u00e9 Luis Serrano<\/b>, Innovation and Product Strategy Manager, has talked about the <b>satellite in 5G<\/b>. &#8220;We are working on the development and integration of the satellite in those terrestrial networks to improve connectivity&#8221;.
