HUAWEI’S GLOBAL AND NATIONAL VISION ON 5G, AT THE VIRTUAL 5G FORUM

01/05/2020

The multinational Huawei, a leading global provider of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions, infrastructures and smart devices, will present its vision on 5G and use cases, at an international level and in Spain, next May 6th and 7th at the Virtual 5G Forum 2020.

José Capote, Director of Integrated Solutions for Operators of Huawei Spain, will be in charge of providing a global and Spanish vision on how 5G technology is reaching the market, and in which use cases an earlier adoption is expected.

In his keynote, Capote will explain the main trends and challenges that operators may face when moving from a 5G pilot phase until last year, to a phase of potential large-scale deployment from 2020 onwards. Both from a technological point of view and in terms of creating the business models and ecosystems needed to put them into operation.

“5G is advancing rapidly. We see 5G reaching similar adoption volumes in one and a half years as 4G did in 4 or 5 years. The forecast is that by the end of 2020, 250 million 5G users will be reached worldwide, says Capote.

It will also introduce some of the solutions that Huawei makes available to the industry to address these technological challenges and help build the value propositions that allow operators to monetize 5G use cases.

Huawei has made available to the Virtual 5G Forum attendees a demonstration video, open to the public, on the development of global 5G in terms of network, deployment, ecology and user experience. The 5G will add great value to the transformation of all vertical industries.

Virtual 5G Forum 2020, organized by Medina Media Events, is the main event about 5G technology in Spain and it will present the latest advances from professionals and big companies such as Samsung, Vodafone Business, Cisco, 5Genesis, Intracom Telecom, Rohde & Schwarz, Huawei, Hispasat, Impulsa Visión RTVE, Nokia, Axión and the Observatorio Nacional 5G, an initiative promoted by Mobile World Capital, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and Red.es, sponsors of the event.

Those attending the Virtual 5G Forum will be able to access the more than 20 keynotes and panel sessions that make up the Agenda of the Virtual 5G Forum 2020. They will also be able to visit exclusive demos from this moment on and request video meetings with all the speakers and participants, the days before, during and after the event, with the aim that the Virtual 5G Forum serves as a permanent and exclusive platform on 5G technology.
